General Contest Rules
Our Contest is open to any Bride who's Wedding is in the Greater Daytona Region PLEASE READ CAREFULLY All winners must be at least 18 years of age to claim their prize. This contest is subject to all federal, state or local laws. All federal, state or other taxes arising from this contest are the winner's responsibility and will not be paid by the Wedding Professionals of Volusia County. (WPVC)
Prizes will be awarded as stated on the official prize sheets for each individual contest. The odds of winning are dependent upon the number of entrants.
There can only be one winner per household within a thirty (90) day period and/or the length of a specific contest for a prize valued at a minimum of $50. Prize must be claimed within thirty (30) regular days of winning the prize or the prize is forfeited.
WPVC is not responsible for the expiration date or restrictions put on prize by sponsors.
The prize and any portion of the prize is nontransferable and may not be redeemed in any way for cash or other goods. There will be no substitutions for prizes.
All taxes are the full responsibility of the winner. If the total prize values within one calendar year exceeds $600, WPVC will provide the winner the appropriate tax form no later than January 31 of the following year.
All winners must present picture identification, address, phone number, and correct social security number in order to claim prize.
Members of the WPVC and their immediate family, contest sponsors and all employees of WPVC members are not eligible to enter and/or win a contest.
WPVC cannot be responsible for the technical failure in incoming or outgoing telephone, fax, or e-mail connections.
Entry into any WPVC contest constitutes permission to use the name, likeness, pictures and voice of the participants for promotional purposes without compensation. Winners are required to sign a release form allowing WPVC to use name, voice, and picture for promotional use. If asked, you agree to sign a release allowing WPVC to use your name, picture, likeness, or voice for the purposes of future contest promotion.
No purchase necessary to win.
If you want to enter the contest without an electronic entry, you may enter by hand printing your name, address and telephone number and the words "General Contest Entry' on a 3" x 5" card in a sealed, addressed envelope and mailing P.O. Box 11223 Daytona Beach Fl 32120. Multiple entries by means of software generated or other automated processes will be disregarded.
All decisions of WPVC are final.
WPVC reserves the right to terminate contesting at any time, termination to be effective upon announcement.WPVC is not responsible if contest sponsors or prize providers are unable to fulfill agreements made by sponsor and WPVC.
If the winner is found to be in violation of one or more of the specific contest rules, WPVC reserves the right to disqualify them and prohibit that individual from further participation in WPVC contests indefinitely.
Contest void where prohibited.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY. By entering the Contest, entrant agrees that (1) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the Contest, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action, and entrant waives his or her right to a jury trial for such disputes, claims, and causes of action; (2) any claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Contest, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (3) under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages, other than damages for actual out-of-pocket expenses.
FLORIDA LAW. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of any contestant and Sponsor, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions (whether of Florida, or any other jurisdiction) that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Florida. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. If any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the valid or enforceable provision was not contained therein.
GENERAL RELEASE. By entering the Contest, contestants release WPVC, its franchisees and each of their respective affiliated companies, directors, officers, employees, representatives, partners and agents from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Contest or with the acceptance, possession or use of any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light).
